There's no cyc, but a 107-inch seamless paper roll (white and green kept in stock) covers clean full-length shots. Website bookings include a three-light bi-colour LED kit with stripboxes and a parabolic softbox, plus a clothing rack. The space holds up to 20 people and is open 24/7.

How to choose a fashion photo studio in Toronto
Decide cyc or daylight first
If you're shooting catalogue or on-model product pages, a cyc with strobes (Wade, Moonlight, Sorry's seamless setup) gives you the most consistent colour from the first look to the last. If you're shooting a lookbook or editorial, a window-lit loft such as THAT Toronto Studio, Junto or Timeless Tree gives a softer, more natural result but changes with weather and time of day.
Check the window direction and the season
Toronto's daylight changes a lot between July and January. South- and west-facing studios get direct sun that needs diffusion; north-facing windows give softer, steadier light. In winter, book daylight studios for the middle of the day and keep a strobe kit as backup.
Plan load-in and parking
Many west-end studios are on upper floors of converted warehouses. Ask about freight elevators, loading doors and parking before you book, especially if you're bringing rolling racks. Moonlight has a drive-in door, Timeless Tree has free on-site parking and Sorry Studio has a designated parking spot with main-floor access.
Use transit for crews, cars for gear
Studios near Dupont and Dufferin, Parkdale and Leslieville are reachable by TTC streetcar or subway, which helps for models and stylists. Gear-heavy shoots are easier in studios with parking than in a downtown loft with street parking only.
Read what the rate includes
Some studios include lighting and grip (Wade, Sorry), some charge for it, and most quote before 13% HST. Compare the full cost for the day, including overtime, cleaning fees and backdrop paper, not just the hourly number.
Book early around peak seasons
Spring/summer and holiday campaign windows fill quickly, and some styled studios install seasonal holiday sets from October. If you need a specific room, book two to four weeks out.
When you don't need a studio day
Studios are still the right call for campaigns, talent-led editorial and video where models need room to move. A real set, a real crew and a photographer directing in the moment produce work that's hard to replace.
A lot of fashion photography isn't that, though. Catalogue images, on-model product pages, colourway variants, ghost mannequin shots and flat lays are repeatable and need consistency more than creative direction. For that work, many fashion teams now use an AI visual production platform like Caimera instead of booking a full studio day. You can generate AI fashion models wearing your actual garments, turn flat lay to on-model catalog images, or create ghost mannequin images from existing product shots. A common split: keep the studio budget for the campaign, and produce the catalogue around it.
FAQ
How much does it cost to rent a photo studio in Toronto?
Based on the studios above, most Toronto rental studios charge between about C$90 and C$150 an hour before HST, usually with a 2-hour minimum. Larger daylight lofts can run C$215 to C$350 an hour, and a full-size production cyc like Moonlight's starts around C$950 for a half day and C$1,950 for a full day.
What is the best photo studio in Toronto for fashion?
It depends on the shoot. For a large cyc and full production, Moonlight Studios. For catalogue and lookbooks on a cyc with lighting included, Wade Studio. For natural-light editorial, THAT Toronto Studio or Junto Studio.
Do Toronto studios include equipment and lighting?
Some do. Wade Studio and Sorry Studio include a full strobe and grip package in the rate, and THAT Toronto Studio includes an LED kit with website bookings. Moonlight includes a grip starter kit but charges separately for lighting. Always check the equipment list before you book.
How far ahead should I book a Toronto photo studio?
For weekday shoots, one to two weeks is often enough. For weekends, popular styled rooms and peak campaign seasons, book two to four weeks ahead, and earlier if you need a specific room or a full-day block.
Is a cyc wall or natural light better for e-commerce?
A cyc with controlled studio lighting is better for e-commerce because it keeps colour and shadows consistent across every product. Natural light suits lookbooks and editorial, where some variation is part of the look.
What should I check before booking a studio rental in Toronto?
Confirm what a "day" means (eight, nine or ten hours) and what overtime costs, since that is where budgets slip. Ask whether the rate includes HST, lighting and grip, or whether kit is hired separately. Check the cyc or cove size against your widest full-length shot, whether the windows face north for even daylight, and the load-in route for rails and cases. Finally, read the cancellation and rescheduling terms, and ask if a steamer, rails and a hair and makeup station are on site so your stylist is not packing them.
